Ortea, Luque & Templado, 1990

Suborder: DORIDINA
Superfamily: ANADORIDOIDEA
Family: Aegiretidae

Known only from the western Mediterranean (Spain, France).

PHOTO

Locality: " L'Estagnol ", Bormes-les-Mimosas, 3m, France, Mediterranean, 17 September 2009, rocks and Posidonia. Length: 4mm. Photographer: Marina Poddubetskaia.

Apart from records on the Forum, this species is known only from the original 6 mm long specimen and a second 2 mm specimen reported by Fahey & Gosliner (2004). The dark brown markings on the body, fine opaque white speckling, and the brown banding on the rhinophores, may turn out to be good identifying characters when more material is available.
