Hello Dr.Rudman,
I have recently gone from Japan to the Philippines, for scuba diving. While there, I photographed this uncommon sea slug, Herviella sp.1. There wre two animals, both on the hydroid Aglaophenia whiteleggei. It was so small and very pretty.

Date: 20 sep 2003
Depth: 12m
Size: approx. 8mm
Location: Lilo-an, Santander, Cebu Is, Philippines

Best wishes,
Yukari Sato

Dear4 Yukari,
This is an interesting find, and from your photos and earlier messages it looks like this species is probably restricted to Aglaophenia whiteleggei. Could you give me a length please?
Thanks,
Bill Rudman
