Phyllodesmium sp. from South Africa

Dear Bill
I especially like the purple bit on the end of the foot, or is it the body? We seem to have too many white spikey animals along our coast. Difficult to identify. Please help!

Dear Valda,
I'm pretty sure that this is a species of Phyllodesmium but without some specimens to examine I can't be sure what species it is.
