here is the next one from the Philippines, Cebu Island, Moalboal, divesite "Dolphin House", depth 12 m, length 65 mm, June 01, 2001.

Dear Erwin,
This is the one I have previously called Tritoniid sp. 3. I think Odhner would have put it in a genus Marionopsis rather than Marionia but the first task is to sort out the species names of these tropical tritoniids. It seems to be crawling over a colony of the soft coral Pachyclavularia violacea which is the food of the aeolid Phyllodesmium briareum [see Rie Nakano's photo]. Did you by chance see any sign of it feeding on this soft coral or was it just passing by?
