Rostanga from Hawaii

March 7, 2002
From: Scott Johnson

Hi Bill,
Attached are images of what I misidentified as Thordisa hilaris in Hawaiian Nudibranchs. Cory Pittman now has this listed as a Rostanga, and from the external features I have to agree, although I haven't personally looked at the internal anatomy to try to confirm it. These were all shot around the island of Oahu, Hawaii, under rocks on shallow subtidal reefs at a depth of about 1 meter. They ranged up to about 20mm long.

Thanks Scott,
I have placed the egg ribbon photos in a separate message. I will call this species Rostanga sp. 3.
