Here is one of Steve Grail's photos for identification. He basically told me the pics were taken 10-20m, between 1996-98 off Mooloolaba.

This is Glossodoris rubroannulata which is at present only known from southern Queensland, northern New South Wales and New Caledonia. There are a group of molluscs which seem to have this restricted Coral Sea distribution.
