Onchidorid from the Adriatic Sea

February 25, 2003
From: Andrej Jaklin

Dear Bill,
I'm sending two pictures of the first of a number of unknown dorids I am sending you. This one was shot on a bryozoan colony of Schizomavella auriculata (det. Frank K. McKinney). According to the white patch on colony, I presume the nudi is feeding on it. Length is less than 0,5 mm. The bryozoan colony was collected in the Northern Adriatic, but at the moment I don't know exact locality. If needed, I'll find it out.
Regards,
Andrej Jaklin

Dear Andrej,
I am afraid the photo is a bit unclear. I amd pretty sure it is either an Onchidoris or Adalaria [Fam. Onchidorididae] but I think it will be difficult to identify to species just from this photo.
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman
