This is probably a juvenile perhaps of Cerberilla affinis. See Cerberilla annulata to see comparison between juvenile and adult Cerberilla.

Cerberilla from Bali, Indonesia

Bill,
Here is a Cerberilla from Bali you can use when you post a series of these. At the present time, we don't know if this one represents an adult specimen or not.

Details: 6.5mm; Bali, Tulamben, 9m; 22 May 1999. [Crawling on sand substrate --we both were].

With the action you are getting on the web site I don't see how you get much else done!

Thanks Clay,
They really are spectacular animals. I think this is probably a juvenile of Cerberilla affinis Bergh, 1888. Juveniles tend to have much larger oral tentacles. [See Cerberilla annulata.

Its surprising what else I am doing, but you are right - I used to be happy to have 3 messages a week, now it 3 a day.

Cheers,
Bill
