Chelidonura orchidaea Perrone, 1990

From: Juan Lucas Cervera

Dear Bill/colleagues:
I would like to know the reference of the original description of the Mediterranean Chelidonura, C. orchidaea Perrone, 1990. I have checked within the CLEMAM, but the result is the following reference

Perrone, A.S. 1990. Una nuova specie di Elysiidae, Elysia hetta nov. sp. dal litorale salentino (Mediterraneo, Golfo di taranto) (Opisthobranchia: Sacoglossa). Atti Soc. It. Sci. Nat. e Mus. Civ. St. Nat. Milano, 130: (18): 249-252.

Obviously, it seems to me that this is a mistake. Could someone to help me to find the correct reference?

Thank you very much.
Lucas.

Dear Lucas,
I noticed a few errors when I looked up CLEMAN in a failed attempt to sort out the Gastropteron rubrum nomenclatural puzzle.

The Chelidonura reference is:
• Perrone, A.S. (1990) Una nuova speci di Aglajidae dal fondo batiale del Golfo di Taranto: Chelidonura orchidaea nov. sp. (Opisthobranchia: Philinoidea). Bollettino Malacologico, 26: 105-112.

By the way I would be interested in including some information and photos of Mediterranean aglajids on the Forum. The aglajids were the first opisthobranch group I ever studied, and it was very difficult trying to sort out the correct generic names to use because there was very little published information to use in identifying the Mediterranean species which bore some of the earliest generic names in the group. I would still like to see some good photos of these species.
Best wishes,
Bill Rudman
