Dorid from Port Stephens

Hi there,

We found this orange bubbly nudi at Halifax Park, Port Stephens, New South Wales in early January, 2000. Looks a bit like a Janolus, but not quite ?? Any ideas what it may be ? It was 40mm long.

Dear David & Leanne,
It's definitely a dorid not a Janolus, but I don't recognise it. There are a number of 'bubble-backed' species which all look very similar externally. One of those is sometimes this light yellowish colour but as they are all in need of revision it doesn't get us much further ahead.

Best wishes,
Bill Rudman.
