Phyllidiopsis sp. 2
Locality: Passe bateaux, 18 m, Mayotte, Indian Ocean, 05 December 2008. Length: 1.5cm. Photographer: Sylvain Le Bris.
It certainly looks like a Phyllidiopsis, with three distinctive ridges down the centre of the mantle. It has similarities to P. sphingis, however that species has 4 black lines and pale straw coloured rhinophores so I suspect this is an unnamed species. The three black lines, 3 ridges, black radiating lines on the mantle edge and the rhinophores with a black band down the posterior side should all be distinguishing features.Authorship details
